Since the twentieth century the employment agencies have been there to combat with the unemployment rates. There are two types of employment agencies private and public. The public employment agencies are funded by the government. The private employment agencies are really just private businesses looking for workers. The first public agency was established in London. It was made through the Labour Bureau act 1902. In the U.S the public agencies were established in 1933, but to be more recent in 1998 they had made it more of a one stop centre. The first private agency was made by Fred Winslow in 1893 which he named the engineering Agency. That was the first private employment agency made in the U.S. One other early employment agency was made by a woman Katherine Felton as a reply to the San Fransisco Fire and Earthguake that took away many buildings. Most of the employment agencies took off after world war one. The jobs were down but the angencies were able to supply jobs. Most of the public temperary agencies especialy seek people in experinced in accounting, health care, technical, or secritarial for people to have a temperary job. In private employment agencies you need to be skilled in more professional and managerial types. Then the first state agency in the U.S was established in Ohio in 1890. The state agencies were an agency that was funded by the states and suported by them as well. Then the executive agency look for people that have above average skill in the industery they are working for. The executive who is recruiting his client is charging the company that the recruit is going to a fee for the person. The companys pay the price for that person, but it is all up to the company to get the people with advertisments. That is the employment agencies that have come in this time to help the people with no job and lower the unemployment rate.
