Computer Graphics

The computer graphics are made by using the computer with a special hardware to create the special effects. These computer graphics have made the computer data easier to understand and interpret. These computer graphics have revolutionized animation, movies, and multiple video games. The meaning of computer graphics is that everything on the computer that is not text or sound. The many meanings of the computer graphics are that something manipulated by the computer like an image. It also means the many hard wares used to manipulate the image. Lastly the sub-field of manipulating computer images into 3d or 4d projections. The beginning of the computer graphics was invented by Ivan Sutherland in 1961. He created the first program called the sketchpad and went on. Using the sketchpad the users were able to draw shapes and save them to look at them at a later time. The icon was a small light pen that you used to draw with. The pen was applied pressure to the screen and then the cursor read to draw their. Most of the new high tech programs use this as a base for their program. Then in the 1970s the new computer graphics were induced to another popular thing that was the TV. There were many programs that scanned artwork then manipulated it for the show by making it fly, stretch, jump, all those types of things. To make things more realistic a man named Henri Gouraud fixed it. The scan programs did not pick up flat shading so he made it so that color will show on the multiple polygons. In the 1990’s skipping the 80s Microsoft comes and comes with a 3.0 version it is very similar thing to the apple Macintosh. Then later that year Alias and ILM in October that made Alias produce stated of the art 3d items for a video they were going to make. That was the past in which we see the base for modern computer graphics.
